Lifezone Announces the Appointment of Ken Chernin as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Capital Markets

Lifezone Metals Limited (NYSE: LZM) announced today that Ken Chernin has joined the Company as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Capital Markets.

Ken Chernin brings more than 20 years of capital markets and investor relations experience to Lifezone Metals. Joining from Parr Capital Advisors, the investor relations and capital markets advisory firm he founded in 2019, where he has advised junior mining companies on investor relations, capital markets strategy, financing and corporate development. Most recently, he has also served as Interim President and CEO of Canadian Gold Resources.

Chris Showalter, Lifezone CEO, said: “We are pleased to welcome Ken to the Lifezone Metals team. Having worked on the buy side, the sell side and as an in-house investor relations leader at NYSE- and TSX-listed companies, Ken understands how investors assess mining companies and how to position a development story with the market. As we advance financing for the Kabanga Nickel Project, Ken’s experience and relationships across the North American mining finance community will be important in broadening our shareholder base and communicating the Lifezone Metals story to our stakeholders.”

Commenting on his appointment at Lifezone Metals, Ken Chernin said: “Kabanga is a rare asset: one of the world’s largest and highest-grade development-ready nickel sulfide deposits, with copper and cobalt alongside nickel, at a time when the United States is prioritizing new, secure and responsibly sourced supply of critical minerals. I look forward to working with Chris, Ingo and the team to bring the Kabanga story to a broader US investor audience as an NYSE-listed company, as we advance the project toward development and support Tanzania’s goal of in-country beneficiation.”

Mr. Chernin previously served as Vice President, Investor Relations & Communication at IAMGOLD Corporation, a NYSE and TSX dual-listed gold producer, where he worked alongside the CEO and CFO on quarterly reporting, investor targeting and shareholder engagement. Prior to IAMGOLD, he was Head of Investor Relations at Empire Company Limited, one of Canada’s largest food retailers, where he restructured the company’s investor relations program. Earlier in his career, Mr. Chernin spent almost a decade in sell-side equity research at Jennings Capital, Beacon Securities and BMO Capital Markets, where his coverage included industrial metals, minor minerals and junior resource companies, after beginning his career in financial markets risk management at Manulife Asset Management. Mr. Chernin is based in Toronto.
